This steam pump was used by a brewery, but had to be pulled by horses!

Used for hauling roadstone in Edinburgh, this 1928 Aveling & Porter tractor worked until the late 1950s.

Foden built steam tractors such as this well into the 1930s. It was an argument over whether the future lay in diesel or steam that resulted in Edwin Foden leaving his brothers and setting up on his own as ERF.

This 1905 Marshall engine celebrated its 100th birthday at the Rally.

This small Mann tractor, `Brinkburn Lass', was worked from 1919 on the Fenwicks estate in Northumberland for ploughing and woodland management.

`Look, it's a Charles engine!' This 1/4th scale model was built in 2001 and is fully working.

Combined thresher and winnower - a forerunner of today's combine harvesters.

Corn dressing, rolling, grinding and chaff cutting machine.

Organs

Andreas Ruth fairground organ dating from 1870! The oldest fair organ still travelling. It plays music printed, punched-card style, on cardboard books fed through a reader.

This exotically decorated organ was built in 1908 for the `Pat Collins Wonderland Bioscape Show' and is in perfect working order.

An 1985 Gavioli 89 key organ.

Charles loved the ghost train. (`Mummy, there were monsters!')

Some rides were very gentle, suitable for two year olds....

.... But our two year old preferred the rides meant for teenagers!!

Wonderful steam powered merry-go-round.
