We drove through Berwick and up the coast to
Lammermuir, the wild and magnificent moor lying to the south-east of
Edinburgh. Our plan had been to spend a couple of hours walking on the
moor, but this was poleaxed by having Something Small fall fast asleep
just as we were arriving at the interesting bit! Nonetheless, we were
treated to some fabulous landscapes, many birds (including red grouse)
and one weasel!
LANGLEY CASTLE
David's parents' house not having enough space
for all of us, we stayed at Langley Castle, just up the Tyne valley
from Hexham.
