KEW GARDEN, LONDON

On Saturday, 14th April, we went to the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew London. Kew houses the world's largest botanical collection. It became a botanical garden in 1840, having previously been a private collection. Although the greenhouses ensure there is plenty to see at all times of the year, Spring is the best time of all because of the prolific blossom on the huge variety of trees. We had a lovely - but very exhausting! - day, yet only managed to see a fraction of the plants there. And the odd bit of animate life, some wild and some .... well ....
